Recently, Tesla owner Elon Musk has announced his intention to create a Humanoid robot. The concept of the Tesla robot is just beginning to emerge, and Musk is just now looking for people to contribute to the creation of said robot. Some details on the robots have been released. On Elon Musk’s app, X, formally known as Twitter, you can watch videos of the robot called Optimus. You can see how he plans to use them and the progress made so far. Musk says, “It can basically do anything you want,” and he believes it will be the biggest product to ever be sold. Additionally, the robot has its own X account and in its description it states,“A general, bi-pedal, humanoid robot capable of performing tasks that are unsafe, repetitive, or boring.” While the robot is not likely to be available for purchase as Tesla is still searching for engineers, it is an exciting advancement in technology. The robots are being produced and tested in factories. People who come to listen to Elon Musk talk also have gotten a sneak peak at the robots and their abilities. Optimus Tesla Bot engineer Milan Kovac says, “Optimus can now navigate new places autonomously while avoiding obstacles” and, “Optimus is learning to interact with humans.” Many people have had different views on the robot and, reasonably so. Some are excited that they can soon purchase a robot to do their daily chores and tasks, and others believe that the robot may be the end of the human race. While these views are complete opposites, they are valid perspectives of the Optimus robot.
