As the Halloween season comes to an end, our local Field of Screams makes this holiday extra special. Field of Screams is one of Americas #1 haunted attractions. Located in Mountville, it runs from Friday to Sunday in the fall and on holidays like Christmas, Valentine’s Day, and St. Patrick’s Day.
They have many different attractions, from haunted houses to hayrides. While many experiences return each year, new additions have been added to make this the most memorable year yet! Some of the most popular additions have been a new entrance to the Photo Booth as well as scenic upgrades in most houses, such as Nocturnal Wastelands’ new 50-foot plane crashing into Shantytown, and a surprise added in the Cryogenic Experimental Lab’s ending.
Field of Screams offers both volunteer and paid opportunities that many Hempfield students take advantage of. Field of Screams volunteers and employees help with makeup, prepare the scare actors, and even perform as said actors. 
Hempfield High School students find Field of Screams to be a fun and exciting environment. In a word, Bentley Falcon describes his work life at Field of Screams as “thrilling,” and Maddie Snyder describes hers as “enjoyable.” If you like having a place to have fun, build friendships, and be yourself without judgement, working at Field of Screams would certainly be the opportunity for you!
