On Saturday, September 6th, the Hempfield boys varsity soccer team faced off against Central York in a dominant performance that ended in a 6–0 victory.
Hempfield controlled the game in the beginning earning multiple corner opportunities. Central York threatened with a quick break, but junior goalkeeper Grant Slutter came up big with a crucial save.


The Knights struck first when senior Ethan Albright buried a cross from junior Ali Jafari. Soon after, junior Nico Giordino with his free kick to double the lead came in.
With momentum building, Hempfield’s confidence and energy was shown on the field.
In the second half, sophomore Stefan Coyne electrified the crowd with a stunning strike from midfield, pushing the score to 3–0.
Final score: Hempfield 6, Central York 0
