About The Team
This year, the Hempfield Swimming team received a new head coach, Andrew Eyster. Eyster led the team through a successful season for both the girls and boys team. The assistant coach of the swim team is Georgia Emert and volunteer coaches include Andre Fissela and Jayden Corrigan. For the diving team, the head coach is Kelsey Dilgilo and volunteer coach Cynthia Lang. The 2024-2025 season officially ended on April 6th with the swimming and diving team banquet.
The swim team has had a total of 8 dual meets, 3 of which were non-league meets and did not count towards the league records. Of the 5 league meets, the girls had a league record of 4 wins and 1 loss, and the boys won all five league meets, making them the section one champions. After the league meets the three qualifying meets there was a league meet, a district meet, and a state meet. Nearly the entire team went to the league meet as swimmers or as alternates. At districts Hempfield had 6 female swimmers, 1 female diver, and 11 male swimmers. At this meet the girls placed 8th overall and the boys placed 6th overall. Finally, at the last meet of the season 5 girls and 5 boys traveled to Bucknell University.
The 2024-2025 season was a successful season for the girls. This season the girls team had 7 girls go to the district meet. The top swims from the girls team are as follows:

In all, the Hempfield swimming team had a very successful season because of their swimmers and coaches. With the departing seniors and new freshmen in the coming season Hempfield is a great team and a good competitor to other teams.
